Hot News: Daihatsu Stop Selling in European Market

Daihatsu has announced that it will withdraw sales from the European market by 2013.

The decision has been taken because of the strength of the Japanese Yen against the Euro and GBP, which now makes export to the region unprofitable.

Daihatsu sales in Europe have declined significantly, with just 19,300 vehicles sold in 10 EU countries last year, compared with 58,600 in 2007.

Sales in Europe will end as of 31 January 2013, but the company will continue its after-service.

There is no stock of new cars in the UK, and no further orders are expected to be placed.
