New Car; 2011 Honda Jazz Vibe

The Jazz was one model in Honda's local product range that acquitted itself well in the local market last year. Despite facing new competition from its own platform sibling, the City, Jazz lost just 5.6 per cent of its sales in 2009, versus 2008. In real numbers that's 9031 sales last year, versus 9563 for the year before.

All the same, Honda hopes for Jazz sales to improve to a stronger level still, in 2010. To that end, the importer has announced 1200 units of a limited edition model, the Jazz Vibe, based on the 1.3-litre GLi and the 1.5-litre VTi variants. The offer on the table is a price rise of $750 for a vehicle worth $2300 more, retail.

Extra features comprise a sportier grille, alloy wheels (including the spare), front fog lights, Bluetooth connectivity and exclusive badging. On top of all that, the Jazz Vibe can be ordered in a colour unique to the limited edition model, Brilliant Orange (pictured) -- the Jazz VTi manual excluded.
