First Sketch: Ssangyong SUT-1 Concept

Ssangyong is smartening up its Act-yon! These are the first official pictures of a a pick-up concept bound for the Geneva Motor Show next month. Based on the existing Actyon Sports truck, the styling has received a complete overhaul to pull it into line with the more contemporary-looking Korando (driven here).

The concept is similar in size to the current Actyon Sports - 4,985mm long x 1,910mm wide x 1,755mm high, and with a 3,060mm wheelbase. A new 2.0 litre diesel engine produces 153bhp and 360Nm of torque delivered across a rev range of 1,500 to 2,800rpm.

The new model will offer the choice of either 6-speed manual or automatic transmission in either 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive models. It will go on sale across Europe and other markets from early 2012, but we'll have more details on the Korean pick-up when it breaks cover in Geneva. For more details click here.
