New Car: 2010 Ford Falcon G6 Limited Edition

Having made a success of its XR range, Ford Australia is turning its attention to the G6 luxury models. Accordingly, it announced today that it will offer a G6 Limited Edition later this month that it claims adds $13,000 worth of value over the standard G6, thanks to a reduced starting price and new equipment.

The G6 Limited Edition will sell for $36,490 drive away and packs $4000 worth of additional equipment for no extra cost over a regular G6. The special run of Falcons will be available with both petrol and E-Gas engines. Although the E-Gas costs $2000 more than the petrol model, Ford is quick to point out that many private customers are eligible for a $2000 government grant.

External changes are 18-inch wheels (17-inch on the E-Gas), unique colour accents on the upper and lower grilles, fog lamp bezels, a rear bumper insert and a 'Limited Edition' badge. Internally the special Falcon is equipped with side curtain airbags, leather seat trim, leather wrapped steering wheel plus iPod and Bluetooth integration.

Currently the XR6 range accounts for over 40 per cent of Falcon sales with most G Series buyers opting for the high level G6E and G6E Turbo. Offering the G6 Limited Edition is designed to entice new buyers to Fords entry-level luxury model.
